We highly welcome your participation in the development of Open NFC. The following work items in particular require your attention:

• New features,
• New porting to different environment,
• New hardware support (NFC HAL) — The Open NFC project will accept and include implementations of the NFC HAL for any hardware provided that the contribution respects the conditions stated below,
• Bug fixes,
• New sample applications using Open NFC.

The recommended way to contribute is to send patches to the project public mailing-list (Open NFC Help). We will review the code, comment, and integrate in the development tree and releases if the code meets our requirements (license terms, code and documentation quality).

If you prefer to send your contribution to a non-public mail address, you may use alternatively opennfc@insidefr.com for submission (lower visibility).

We encourage you to communicate early and often on your Open NFC developments, in particular to avoid overlap with existing work.

The main development of Open NFC, including definition of the roadmap, is performed by Inside Secure. The source code is released in Sourceforge server at each major release of the stack. If you are interested in getting involved earlier in this development, please contact us at opennfc@insidefr.com. Please note that at the moment, we are not accepting beta-testers of the Open NFC stack.
