This edition provides the minimal contents to develop applications that use the Open NFC software stack: it contains the header files and the complete documentation of the stack for application developers.
In addition, this edition contains the Open NFC stack compiled for Win32 environment. This allows the user to “play” with Open NFC stack on a Windows Desktop environment, but does not contain the source code of Open NFC.

Please note that in older releases, this SDK Edition was named “PC Edition“.
As stated in the Overview above, this Edition mostly contains documentation and header files.
You will need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86, x64) to execute the pre-compiled applications under Windows.

The following are the main changes:
A number of cleanups have been performed in the contents of the different Editions; new components have been added while other components have been removed; we encourage you to browse inside the different archives even if you are already familiar with the previous releases to get an overview of all the changes. As usual, the Release Notes of each archive should be a good starting point.
